The White House called on the Trump administration to cancel its decision to withhold a federal grant for housing for children from families who arrive in the United States illegally, saying those families “are already suffering.”

The U.S. State Department announced on Tuesday it would provide $60 million to help families who were displaced by the DACA program.

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said the funding would cover families of the roughly 800,000 Dreamers who were protected under the program during Obama, but would not include money for anyone fleeing from the program, who are known as DREAMers.

A Senate panel has held that Congress must act to protect the status of these children, a d우리카지노ecision Sanders said Trump should act to support.

Trump has previously threatened to throw out the judges who blocked the Obama-era program. Trump said during a February campaign rally that the judges’ names would be “in the newspapers” and said he would be willing to fire U.S. District Judge James Robart temporarily from presiding over the lawsuit he is fighting to block the program.
